Authorised Use of Certification Marks

The RACERT Certification Mark represents compliance with rigorous industry standards and may only be used by organisations that have successfully obtained and maintained certification.

Where It Can Be Used:
  • Official company websites, brochures, and marketing materials.
  • Corporate documents such as reports and policies.
  • Digital and print media, including press releases and promotional content.
Modifications Allowed:
  • Resizing is permitted as long as proportions are maintained.
  • No alterations to design, colour, or content of the mark.

Use of UKAS Accreditation Symbol

This section outlines the permitted use of the UKAS National Accreditation Symbol in conjunction with the RACERT Certification Mark. Certified organisations referencing UKAS accreditation must ensure usage complies with applicable UKAS branding and accreditation requirements, including the UKAS Accreditation Logo and Symbols Guidance.

The UKAS symbol:
  • Must always appear alongside the RACERT Certification Mark.
  • Shall not be used independently or in a misleading manner.
  • Must correspond to the applicable accredited certification scheme.
  • Shall include the relevant accreditation number where required.
Use of the UKAS accreditation symbol remains subject to RACERT approval and ongoing certification validity.
Example of Acceptable Use of UKAS Accreditation Symbols

Accreditation and Third-Party Logos

  • Changes to accreditation marks require prior written approval from the mark’s owner.
  • The ISO logo and short name cannot be used in connection with RACERT certification.

Prohibited Use of Certification Marks

Where It Cannot Be Used:
  • Individual email signatures or business cards.
  • On products or product packaging (unless explicitly permitted).
  • Laboratory reports, test certificates, or inspection reports (to avoid misrepresentation).
  • Any misleading context implying certification applies beyond its intended scope.
Unauthorised Use May Result In:
  • Corrective action.
  • Suspension or withdrawal of certification.
  • Legal or contractual consequences.

Suspension, Withdrawal, and Termination of Certification

Certification marks may only be displayed while the certificate remains valid.

If Certification is Suspended or Withdrawn:
  • The use of all RACERT certification marks must cease immediately.
  • Marks must be removed from advertising, websites, and digital/print materials.
Upon Termination of Agreement with RACERT:
  • All permissions related to certification mark usage will be revoked.
  • The certified organisation must discontinue all references to RACERT certification.
