Process & Requirements
01
Change of Ownership
A change in the majority shareholder(s) or full ownership must be reported to RACERT. This does not usually impact the legal entity or certification scope, but notification is mandatory.
Required Information:
- Details of new owner(s), including percentage of ownership.
- Disclosure of related entities or conflicts of interest.
- Planned changes affecting key personnel, operational sites, or certification scope.
Failure to notify RACERT may result in certification suspension.
02
Change of Legal Entity
If the organisation’s legal structure changes, certification cannot automatically transfer unless the new entity accepts full contractual, financial, and legal responsibilities of the certified organisation.
Required Information:
- Reason and date of change.
- Confirmation of obligation transfer.
- Supporting legal documents (e.g., registration, merger agreements).
Where obligations cannot be transferred, a new certification application may be required.
03
Change of Name
If an organisation changes its trading or registered name without altering its legal entity, certification can continue under the new name, subject to notification.
Required Information:
- New name and reason for change.
- Confirmation that certification scope remains unchanged.
- Legal proof of name change.
Where obligations cannot be transferred, a new certification application may be required.
